In a bid to boost tourism, Uttar Pradesh has launched helicopter services that will offer aerial tours to some of its most iconic destinations. This development will enable travellers to witness breathtaking views of some key cities such as Ayodhya, Agra, Mathura, Lucknow and Prayagraj. This service, provided by Rajas Aero Sports and Adventure, promises to make aerial tours and transportation more accessible for tourists and locals alike. It will also enable them to experience the spiritual and cultural sites of Uttar Pradesh from the sky.

Routes, fares and special offers

This helicopter service will cover several routes connecting some of the major cities in Uttar Pradesh including Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Agra, Mathura, Lucknow and Prayagraj. The time saving of the service is expected to be a major advantage as it will attract tourists who want to visit multiple destinations in a short period.

For those planning to experience this experience, fares have already been announced. In addition, for a limited time, passengers who book their tickets in advance will be offered a special discount.

For the first 60 hours after the service launches, passengers who book in advance will enjoy a 40% discount on fares. After this promotional period, standard fares will apply.

From now on the rates are:

  • Ram Mandir Air Darshan: INR 4130 per person (one way)
  • Ayodhya to Gorakhpur: INR 13,373
  • Ayodhya to Varanasi: INR 18,388

These prices include 18% GST.

Meanwhile, this news comes soon after UP announced the commencement of catamaran voyages in the holy cities of Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi. A collaboration between the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Corporation and the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) will see the delivery of two catamarans to each of the three cities. Currently, Ayodhya and Kashi have received one catamaran each, with a capacity of 50 passengers. The Tourism Corporation has requested that the next batch of catamarans be open-air, with a deck, pantry, toilets and other amenities to ensure a comfortable journey for tourists.
