While appearing on a show with his former teammate and Manchester United icon Rio Ferdinand, Ronaldo shared his opinion that the Dutch manager’s conduct was not appropriate for a club of United’s stature, England’s most decorated team.
“Manchester United manager, you cannot say you are not going to fight to win the Premier League or the Champions League,” said the Portuguese legend.
“You have to be mindful of the idea: ‘Hey, maybe we don’t have that potential, but I can’t say. We’re going to try.’ You have to try,” added the 39-year-old.

However, ten Hag analysed the current stage of the team’s development and highlighted the incorporation of young players into the senior squad.
“It’s far away, in Saudi Arabia, far from Manchester. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. No problem,” the Dutchman replied.
“It doesn’t affect me. I know where we are in the process, what we have to do, where we are going,” he insisted.
Erik ten Hag mentioned that the team still has to deal with several injuries and stressed the need to reintegrate those injured players. He made it clear that despite the challenges, there are no excuses and the expectation is to win every match. Ten Hag stressed that both he and the team are fully aware of this, regardless of which players are available, and that they will approach every match with the determination to secure victory.
