HG Infra Engineering successfully bids for ₹781 crore road project in Gujarat

HG Infra Engineering Ltd has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a road improvement project in Gujarat, the construction firm announced on Tuesday (August 20). The project involves upgrading of the existing six-lane road, including an elevated corridor, stretching from Narol Junction to Sarkhej Junction along National Highway 47 in the state.

“…HG Infra Engineering Limited has been declared as the leading bidder by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) for the project,” the company said in a stock exchange filing.

The estimated cost of the project by the Ministry of Transport and Telecom of India is ₹883.24 crore, while the bid by HG Infra is ₹781.11 crore. The project will be executed under Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM), with a length of 10.63 kilometres. The construction period is expected to be 2.5 years.

Shares of HG Infra Engineering Ltd closed at ₹1,577.70, down ₹4.45, or 0.28% on the BSE.
