Honey Singh questions Beedi’s lyrics
Speaking about criticism of his lyrics, he said: “I don’t give a shit, but I think I should respond to this.” Gulzar Sahab likh rahe hain (Mr Gulzar wrote), ‘Beedi jalaile jigar se piya, jigar mein badi aag hai (Beedi song lyrics)’, jigar kahan hota hai aurat ka (where is the chest)? This is misogynistic to me. ‘Zuban pe laga namak ishq ka (Beedi song lyrics)’, why are you talking about a woman’s tongue… Sir main hi kyun galat hoon? I didn’t speak earlier, but today I am speaking. I didn’t respond initially, but people were saying ‘easy target hai, issi ke baare mein bolo’ (Why am I only wrong? The singer also shared whether he thinks his lyrics objectify women. “I am not objectifying women, aise thodi na hota hai (it’s not that).
