The production house shared the latest box office figures for “Stree 2” on its X page.
“‘Stree 2’ breaks records with a LEGENDARY and HIGHEST 2nd Saturday ever. Thank you all for your continued love and support. Reserve your tickets now,” the post read.
According to Maddock Films, the film has grossed Rs 426 crore in India and Rs 78.5 crore overseas, taking its total collection to around Rs 505 crore.
Its net domestic box office collections stood at Rs 361 crore, the makers added.
Released on August 15, “Stree 2” took on Nikkhil Advani’s “Vedaa” starring Sharvari and John Abraham and Mudassar Aziz’s “Khel Khel Mein” starring Akshay Kumar at the box office but emerged as the highest-grossing film of the lot. The film, written by Niren Bhatt, also stars Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee.
“Stree 2” is part of Maddock Films’ ambitious horror-comedy universe, which includes films like “Bhediya” and “Munjya.”
