Meerut: A serious railway accident was avoided in Uttar Pradesh‘s Bijnor When coupling the Kisan Express bound for Dhanbad broke, causing the train to split in two near Seohara Train Station in the early hours of Sunday.

The incident occurred around 3:45 am. Railway engineers They quickly dismantled the damaged sleeping car and transported it to Moradabad By 7.30 am, several candidates for the Uttar Pradesh police constable recruitment exam were already on board, and they were quite nervous about the delay. Some candidates took buses to their examination centres and an express train stopped to help accommodate the remaining passengers.

According to reports, when the train was passing through Chakrajmal railway station at around 3:45 am, the coupling connecting coaches S4 and S3 broke, leaving 13 coaches stranded on the tracks, while eight coaches remained attached to the engine.

When the speech from the disconnected coaches became slower and the air conditioning failed, passengers initially thought someone had pulled the emergency chain. Meanwhile, the train guard noticed the problem and alerted the loco pilot, GK Rastogi. By then, the train had stopped at Seohara station, while the remaining coaches were halted at Raipur.

The incident was reported to the railway control room in Moradabad, which quickly sent a rescue engine to take the 13 stranded coaches from Raipur to Seohara railway station.

After shunting and reconnecting both sections of the train at Seohara station, it left for Moradabad at 7:38 p.m. Meanwhile, the delay caused a commotion among the candidates travelling for the police exam. To resolve the issue, the police arranged five buses to ferry the candidates to their examination centres in Moradabad and Bareilly.
