‘I have faith’: Hansi Flick reacts to Barcelona’s refusal to sign Dani Olmo

As the summer transfer window draws to a close, FC Barcelona once again find themselves in a precarious position having failed to register their new big-budget signing, Dani Olmo.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has admitted that the situation the club and player find themselves in is far from ideal and gives his candid opinion on whether Barcelona will be able to register their new star in time.

Barcelona have swooped on Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig in a €60m deal. The midfielder arrived at the club with high expectations, but after the move, Barcelona were faced with a harsh reality: it was revealed that the club did not have enough room to register their new signing within La Liga’s salary cap.

Barcelona have already started their La Liga campaign after winning their first two games against Valencia and Athletic Bilbao. But with just a few days left until the deadline, Barça are running out of time to register Olmo.

Barcelona’s new manager Hansi Flick has reportedly come out and expressed confidence that the club will be able to sign Dani Olmo before the deadline.

“I have faith in the club, I think we can include Olmo in the squad,” said Hansi Flick.

Hansi Flick also admitted that Dani Olmo understands the difficult financial situation Barcelona finds itself in and is waiting patiently.

“Any player who cannot participate because he is not registered will not be happy… but he understands the situation we are in,” Hansi Flick revealed

Barcelona’s difficult financial situation

Barcelona are once again in a very difficult financial situation and have been forced to get rid of Ilkay Gundogan, Vitor Roque, Clement Lenglet and Mikayil Faye to sign Dani Olmo.
