Lando Norris achieved a brilliant victory in the Dutch Grand Prix over the current champion Formula One champion Max Verstappen. He McLaren F1 reduced driver VerstappenThe 70-point lead at the top of the championship has potentially rekindled the title race.
Norris took pole in qualifying but lost the lead early in the race to Verstappen. However, he did not lose hope and reacted brilliantly, opening up a lead of more than 20 seconds over his Dutch counterpart.
Red bullVerstappen remains the favourite to defend his F1 title with nine races remaining in the season. McLaren will be looking to have a perfect end to the season. Sebastian Vettel went crazy in 2013 when he did not drop a single point after the summer break and claimed his fourth consecutive F1 title.
If Lando can repeat his feat, he could go on to win his first F1 championship. Speaking about the F1 championship, Verstappen believes that the results can be easily reversed, but it would not be easy for Norris to have a perfect end to the season.
“You can’t just calculate it like that. I’d like to win races.
“There are still nine races left and some sprint races, so these kinds of things can easily be reversed.
“But I also know that you [Lando Norris would] We need to finish the season in a perfect way, and that, I think, is very difficult.”
This season, a driver other than Verstappen has won five consecutive races, including Sunday’s Grand Prix. This is his longest winless streak since 2020. Next on the calendar is the Italian GP which is scheduled to take place next month.
