ICAI CA PQC application portal and final test reopen tomorrow, details here

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ICAI, will open the registration window for online filling of application forms for the final and post-qualification examinations of Chartered Accountants (CA), including the Risk and Insurance Management Technical Examination (IRM) and the International Taxation Assessment Test (INTT-AT), on Wednesday, September 11. Candidates wishing to apply can do so by visiting the official website at icai.org.

Candidates should note that the application window will be reopened for only two days, i.e. 11 and 12 September, until 23:59. Candidates will be required to pay a late fee of 600 or US$10.

The exams are scheduled to take place in November 2024.

According to ICAI, the decision to reopen the application window was taken as a special case following a request received from students regarding the same, after the Institute shortened the application window period from 28 days to 17 days.

ICAI wrote on its official website, “In view of the fact that this reduction in time limit from 28 days to 17 days being the first such instance for final examinations of Chartered Accountants and PQC and the request received from the students in respect of the same, it has been decided to reopen the online filling of examination application form for the final and post-qualification course of Chartered Accountants namely: Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Technical Examination and International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT-AT) for 2 (two days) from 11th September, 2024 (11.00 am) to 12th September, 2024 (11.59 pm) with late payment charges (Rs.600/- or US$10) for the benefit of the students as a one-time measure and as a special case only.”

About the 17-day application deadline

According to ICAI, the measure to reduce the deadline to 17 days is intended to accommodate the exam dates for the intermediate and basic exams for Public Accountants three times a year and to meet the deadlines of several examination processes.

He further stated that students must strictly follow the 17-day deadline for completing the online application form for all upcoming Chartered Accountant examinations.
