ICAI reopens application window for CA Final and PQC exams for 2 days

He The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the reopening of the online application process for the Final Certified Public Accountants and Post-Qualification Course (PQC) exams, including the Insurance and Risk Management Technical Examination (IRM) and the International Taxation Assessment Test (INTT-AT).

Applicants can access the exam application link on the official website of ICAI: icai.org.

The ICAI notification said that students can submit the exam application form with a late payment fee of 600 people from Wednesday, September 11 at 11:00 a.m. to Thursday, September 12 at 11:59 p.m. The notice also indicates that the campaign is a one-off measure and only as a special case.

“ICAI has revised its examination calendar for Intermediate and Basic levels, which will now be held three times a year instead of the previous two. This change has resulted in a reduction in the number of candidates online application “The shortened application period is extended from 28 to 17 days for the September 2024 examinations. The adjustment aims to ensure the timely organization of various examination-related processes, such as the finalization of examination centres, the evaluation of answer sheets and the timely announcement of results. The same shortened application period applies to the Final and PQC examinations scheduled for November 2024,” the notice reads.

Students should note that this 17-day deadline for completing the online examination application form will be applicable for all upcoming Certified Public Accountant examinations and students are expected to strictly adhere to the deadlines for completing the examination application form.

ICAI had earlier notified prospective candidates about the upcoming changes on 18 July 2024, to give them sufficient time to prepare and submit their applications. Henceforth, the 17-day application deadline will be applicable to all candidates. ICAI examsand students are advised to respect this deadline when submitting their forms.
