The Educational Association of India on Thursday announced that it has collaborated with Invest India for the global trade fair Didac India, to boost investment in the country’s promising education and skills sector.

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency that assists investors seeking investment opportunities in India, according to a statement.

According to the release, with 13 years of success, Didac India is the largest event in Asia and the only one in India for educational resources and solutions for all levels and segments.

India Didactics Association (IDA), a pan-Indian association for the education and skills sector and Messe Stuttgart, a global exhibitor, are jointly organizing Didac India 2024.

The next 14th edition will take place from 18 to 20 September 2024 in the national capital.

Aditya Gupta, CEO of IDA, said this collaboration will help create new avenues of investment and growth for the sector.

“We are confident that the 14th edition of Didac India will be the largest gathering of innovators, executives and decision makers from the global education fraternity to foster collaborations in implementing educational standards at par with global practices,” Gupta added.

Numerous government initiatives and schemes like NEP 2020, dedicated budgetary allocations, focus on ICT, training and employability, credits for online programmes etc. have been introduced to keep India at the forefront of technological advancements and improve the skill and education sector in the country, he said.

The recent Union Budget allocated Rs 1.48 trillion to the sector, highlighting the government’s strong emphasis on building a skilled workforce, enhancing employment opportunities and fostering growth of the sector by boosting the digital infrastructure of educational institutions.

India’s education and training industry is projected to reach $313 billion by 2030.

The widespread adoption of online learning and the increasing demand for training and reskilling by educational institutions and corporations have highlighted a substantial growth in edtech and skills-based startups.

In its endeavour to strengthen India’s education and skills sector and create new avenues for investment, the IDA announced its partnership with Invest India for Didac India to attract investments in the growing education sector in the country, it said.

More than 300 national and international companies from more than 15 countries will exhibit more than 5,000 cutting-edge technologies, products and services at this international event.
