Raniganj, Jitendra Singh: There was a sensation in Shishu Bagan area of Raniganj in West Bengal on Friday afternoon when a youth named Rakesh Sharma alias Guddu, in his 30s, killed his wife Shilpa Sharma by hitting her on the head with a hammer. Guddu and Shilpa also have a two-and-a-half-year-old son. Police questioned Guddu, sitting near his wife’s bleeding body, about the motive behind the murder and he told him that she was dead, now do whatever you want.
Shilpa had a love marriage with Guddu.
Regarding the incident, Guddu’s uncle Dhurender Sharma said that Guddu is one of the four sons of his elder brother, late Gulab Sharma. Out of which two sons live in Shishu Bagan and two live in rented houses elsewhere. Guddu’s mental condition is not good, he suffers from epilepsy. Shilpa had a love marriage with Guddu. He said under what circumstances Guddu committed this incident. He cannot say as he was not present at the spot at the time of the incident, but it is said that Guddu killed Shilpa by hitting her with a hammer.

According to police sources, the forensic team will come on Saturday and collect more information about the incident.
