MBBS and BDS seats have been allotted to students of medical and dental colleges of Uttarakhand. 977 seats have been filled in the first counselling of HNB Medical University. While 114 vacant seats fall under reserved categories like orphans, freedom fighters and disabled quota. Registration will have to be done before September 5. Bhatt, the allotment of seats was done under the state centralised counselling on MBBS and BDS seats in medical educational institutions for 2024-25 on Thursday. 2725 candidates had participated in this process. It is mandatory to pay the fee in advance before admission. Students who have been allotted seats will have to deposit the prescribed amount online as tuition fee in advance. According to Registrar Prof. Ashish Uniyal, apart from the advance tuition, the remaining tuition fee, admission fee, inheritance money, mess fee, hostel fee, sports fee, etc. will be deposited with the colleges.

MBBS seats available up to 643 points in government, 129 points in private

The cut-off for MBBS seats in government medical colleges in Uttarakhand has been very high. The final cut-off in the general quota was 643 marks. The final cut-off for General in private is 387. The cut-off for OBC in government has been 631, in private 399, for SC in government 505 and in private 129. Apart from this, the final cut-off for ST category in government was 522 and in private was 140. The final cut-off for EWS category in government was 630.

Doon Medical College cutoff is the highest

Controller of Examinations Prof. Vijay Juyal said the MBBS cut-off was the highest at Doon Medical College. As many as 663 seats were available in the general quota. While Haldwani Medical College has come in second position. The MBBS seat is available here for 647 marks. Here, students got seats with 647 marks in Srinagar Medical College and 643 marks in Almora. MBBS seats were allotted for 538 marks in HIMS, 461 marks in SGRR and 387 marks in Gautam Buddha Medical College. While in private colleges these seats are under state quota.

The cost of early registration will be as follows

– In Srinagar-Almora, Rs 50,000 for bonds, Rs 145,000 for non-bonds.

– Rs 145,000 for Doon Medical College and Haldwani Medical College.

– 10,000,000 for private medical schools (management and state fee)

– 2,000,000 for the private dental school (management and state fee)
