KPSC Gazetted Probationary Candidates Examination 2024: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah On Monday he directed the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) will re-conduct the Official Test Committee members’ examination within two months following reports of alleged improper translation of questions into Kannada.
Taking to microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter), the Karnataka Chief Minister said the exam would be held again in two months to ensure fairness for all candidates.
Siddaramaiah said those responsible for these lapses have been relieved of their duties.
“The next exam “It will be carried out with utmost responsibility and accountability following all due diligence,” Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said, adding that his government is “committed to upholding the integrity of the recruitment processes” in the state.
The Karnataka State Competitive Examinations Aspirants Association (KSCEAA) welcomed the decision taken by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
KSCEAA took to social media to thank Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for considering the demands for re-examination of KAS 2024 preliminary examination.
“Thank you @CMofKarnataka for considering the demands of re-examination of KAS preliminary exam,” they said.
It is important to note that there have been allegations of inappropriate use of the Kannada language. translations of the English question in the preliminary examination held on August 27 to fill 350 posts of probationary officers in the state, which had led to confusion among Kannada-speaking students.
Candidates should note that the KPSC KAS 2024 preliminary exam results, which were expected to be released in the last week of September, will now be released after the re-examination.
Karnataka Public Service Commission conducted KPSC KAS 2024 Preliminary Examination in offline mode. A total of two papers were conducted in KPSC KAS 2024 Preliminary Examination. 100 multiple choice questions were asked in Paper-I and 100 multiple choice questions were also asked in Paper-II. 400 marks have been fixed for all the questions. In which as per the estimation, the cut-off marks for unreserved will be around 172 to 177 marks.
