Incident in Kulti area, court transferred the case from Hirapur police station.

Asansol. The Asansol court has transferred the case registered on 19.07.2024 at Hirapur police station by Shubhamay Sarkar, Additional General Manager (Legal) of SAIL ISP Burnpur, against the company’s former General Manager Rajeev Kumar to Kulti police station. Shri Sarkar has lodged a complaint against the former General Manager Shri Kumar, accusing him of forgery/fraud by signing illegal documents. On the basis of the complaint, an FIR was registered at Hirapur police station under section 465/468/471/420 of IPC in case number 203/24. But since this entire incident was related to the Kulti police station area, Hirapur police station had appealed to send the case to Kulti. On this basis, the trial court transferred the case to Kulti police station. On this basis, a case was registered against the accused under section 465/468/471/420 of IPC in case number 448/24 at Kulti police station. It is said that many important people are likely to be involved in this. Rajiv Kumar retired in February this year. The management has no contact with them. Only after which the FIR was lodged.

First charge against Rajeev Kumar

Shri Sarkar wrote in his complaint that SAIL ICO had issued a circular for allotment of flats in SAIL Kulti Township. Pursuant to which, on 4th January 2014, Krishna Kumar Tiwari was allotted bungalow number two at Station Road, Kulti for two years. The letter was signed by Rajiv Kumar, Senior Manager (P&A), SAIL GW. The retention of which was terminated in 2016.

Mr. Tiwari never applied for retention again. As per law, the State SAIL ISP Court initiated eviction proceedings against Mr. Tiwari for unauthorised occupation of the house. Following which, Mr. Tiwari disclosed another demand letter signed by Rajeev Kumar on 4th January 2014. In which no time limit was given to vacate the house. Mr. Tiwari was allowed to retain possession of the bungalow indefinitely. The management received this letter on 28th March this year. The management does not have a copy of this letter. It appears that this has been done without the knowledge and permission of the company. Rajeev Kumar is suspected of having committed fraud against the company. In which another document has been signed changing the terms and conditions to illegally hand over the bungalow to Mr. Tiwari without the permission of the company which is for an indefinite period.

Shri Sarkar secondly accused Rajiv Kumar that a letter was received through email on 4th July 2024 through Assistant Engineer and Station Manager of WBSEDCL (Barakar CCC). In which there is a no objection certificate signed by Rajiv Kumar for providing land to Priyadarshini Public School.

The school management had approached the electricity department for getting independent electricity connection through WBSEDCL for the municipal premises at SAIL Kulti and on 28th April 2014 they received a NOC from SAIL signed by Rajeev Kumar. The official records of Iesco were checked but no such letter was found. There is no official record of the NOC issued by Rajeev Kumar to Priyadarshini School in ISCO. No order to issue such NOC was received by Rajiv Kumar. The signature appears unclear and fake. Rajiv Kumar retired from SAIL DSP on 29th February this year. Attempts were made to contact him but he did not pick up the phone. Shri Sarkar appealed for proper forensic analysis of the signature samples of Rajeev Kumar from the records of ICO Burnpur, ICO Kulti and ICO DSP so that the truth can be fully revealed.
