The girl who underwent gender reassignment told Prabhat Khabar that in the month of May 2024, she changed her gender following all the rules of the government. During this time, she met Kalyan Dey, son of Lakshmikant Dey, a resident of Pathpur and a love story developed between them. Then both of them mutually decided to get married. Meanwhile, he sexually exploited her several times on the pretext of marriage. But now the young man refuses to get married.

The girl further said that the boy’s father Laxmikant De, mother Sukanti De, uncle Bhudev De, aunt Manju De and elder brother Mintu De had abused and beaten her. When the boy refused to marry her, she turned to the law. After being pressured by the police, the boy asks for time, sometimes 6 months and sometimes 2 years. Many times he has even been threatening to kill me or take me out and sell me somewhere. The girl also said that now even her parents are not getting any support from her. They repeatedly tell her to get out of the house.

The girl had come with the matter of her love affair. On learning about this, we called both of them to the police station and questioned them. After this they came out of the police station fighting. The same happened on the second day as well. During this time the girl used obscene and vulgar language. We have told the girl that if she wants to file a case she should mention all the incidents in the application and we will start taking further action. But she kept talking about getting married instead of filing a case. If we get any application in this matter, we will definitely take further action. Even after this we called the girl but she did not receive the call. On the other hand, when the boy was called to know the accused’s side, he did not receive the call either.
