India introduces six new Vande Bharat trains

These new ones Vande Bharat Trains will operate on Tatanagar-Patna, Brahmapur-Tatanagar, Rourkela-Howrah, Deoghar-Varanasi, Bhagalpur-Howrah and Gaya-Howrah routes. They have completed a total of around 36,000 trips and have carried over 3.17 million passengers,” the PMO said. “These trains will boost religious tourism in the region by providing a faster mode of travel to pilgrimage sites like Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar (Jharkhand), Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Kalighat, Belur Math in Kolkata (West Bengal), etc. Apart from this, coal mine industries in Dhanbad, jute industries in Kolkata, allied industries of iron and steel in Durgapur will also get a major boost,” the PMO said in a press release.
The Vande Bharat Express, India’s first semi-high-speed train designed and manufactured in India, has been a huge success since its launch in 2019. The trains offer a comfortable and efficient travel experience to millions of passengers.
The latest version of the Vande Bharat 2.0 comes with advanced features like faster acceleration, Kavach security system, anti-virus system and WiFi. “With the Vande Bharat Express train services, Indian Railways is on its way to revolutionise travel in India. These trains not only reflect the success of the ‘Make in India’ initiative but also set new global standards of speed, safety and service,” the ministry reportedly said.
