INDIA bloc will not face any problem if Champai Soren joins BJP: Congress leader Ajoy Kumar

Jamshedpur: Amid speculation that former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren He could join the BJP, Leader of the congress Ajoy Kumar said on Sunday that the ruling INDIA block There would be no problem in the state if the JMM veteran switches to the saffron camp. If Soren switches sides, it would create a rift between Indian People’s Party (BJP) leaders in the state, Kumar said.

“The ruling alliance will not have any problem as Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Søren “He will be the face of the INDIA bloc in the Assembly elections this year. But this will definitely create a rift among the BJP leaders,” the Congress leader said while replying to a question on speculations about Champai Soren.

Notably, Champai Soren left for Delhi on Sunday amid speculation that he is likely to join the BJP, sources said.

A close aide of Champai Soren claimed that the former prime minister left for the national capital from Kolkata.

Shortly after landing in Delhi, the JMM leader told reporters that he had not met any BJP leader and was in the national capital on a “personal” visit.

Kumar also asked, “Where will BJP leaders and former chief ministers Babulal Marandi and Arjun Munda go if Champai Soren joins the saffron party? Perhaps, the BJP leadership tried to show doors to senior tribal leaders. The BJP had a habit of insulting its leaders.” Speaking about the alleged rape and murder of a woman doctor in Kolkata, Kumar, an AICC executive committee member, said that a general reform in the medical system is needed as such attacks on doctors are not new in the country. Kumar, who was a doctor, said the RG Kar hospital incident was a “heinous crime and we do not have a word to condemn it, but it was not an isolated case.”

On August 9, a female junior doctor was allegedly raped and murdered while on duty at the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. The next day, a civic volunteer was arrested in connection with the crime.

Kumar, AICC in-charge of Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, said the condition of all government hospitals in the country was such that doctors did not have adequate sleeping space and there was hardly any space to change.

He also blamed hospital authorities for inadequate security measures in health centres.

“It doesn’t matter which party is in power. We always raise our voice against atrocities committed against women,” the Congress leader said.
