India Post GDS Result 2024: India Post on Tuesday, August 20, released the first circle-wise merit list for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) recruitment 2024 at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

Candidates can check their GDS posts on the official websites. Category-wise and circle-wise merit lists are available at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/ and indiapostgdsonline.cept.gov.in.

The merit list of various postal circles including twelve states has been released. The list of states for which the first Gramin Dak Sevak merit list has been announced includes Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and West Bengal. Meanwhile, candidates who applied for other circles can expect the merit list anytime.

Through this recruitment process, India Post aims to recruit staff for 44,228 GDS posts across the country. The selection process is based solely on the 10th grade marks of the candidates. The recruitment process does not involve an interview. or written examination. Shortlisted candidates will proceed to the next round i.e. Document Verification (DV) stage, which will be followed by a Medical Examination (ME).

Follow the steps below to download the results:

Step 1: Visit the official website of GDS recruitment portal at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

Step 2: Select your circle.

Step 3: Download the merit list

Step 4: Check the result using the name.

On July 15, India Post opened its portal for recruitment of GDS staff, inviting applications for these posts. The deadline was August 5.

The Ministry of Communications published a notice regarding this on July 12, which read: “Applications are invited from eligible candidates. Candidates for the vacant posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) [i.e, Branch Postmaster (BPM)/Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevaks] in different offices of the Post Office Department.”

He added: “Applicants should clearly understand that GDS are not regular employees of the Department and their emoluments, allowances and other entitlements are not equal to those of Central Government employees.”

Candidates should check the official website regularly for further updates, merit lists and further rounds of the selection process.
