Shares of Brigade Enterprises Ltd. (up 2.95 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd. (up 1.84 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd. (up 1.2 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd. (up 0.23 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd. (up 0.23 per cent) ended the day as the top gainers in the group.
On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (down 3.14 percent), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (down 0.61 percent), Sunteck Realty Ltd. (down 0.52 percent), DLF Ltd. (down 0.29 percent) and Sobha Ltd. (down 0.04 percent) ended as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.2 per cent higher at 1,038.1.
The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended 7.16 points higher at 25,017.75, while the BSE Sensex rose 13.65 points to 81,711.76. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 ended in the green, while 29 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Zee Ent., Tata Teleservices, CESC and YES Bank were among the most traded stocks on the NSE. Shares of Ucal Fuel Sys, Goldiam Intnl, NIIT, KFIN Technologies and Nelco Ltd hit fresh 52-week highs today, while Filatex Fashions, Davangere Sugar, Rubfila Intnl, GIR Natureview and BDR Buildcon hit fresh 52-week lows.
