Indigo Receives Honorary Award at India-US Tourism and Hospitality Summit

Low cost airline Indigo bagged the ‘Honorary Award‘ in it Indian-American tourism and Hospitality Summit for its contribution to the Indian aviation industry, the company said in a press release. Vinay MalhotraIndiGo’s Global Sales Director received the award from the Chief Guest of the event, R Venkataramani, Attorney General of India, on Tuesday in New Delhi.

“We are honoured to have been awarded the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce’s Honour Award. This recognition reflects our organisation’s unwavering commitment to enhancing accessibility, connectivity and facilitating travel and tourism, both domestically and internationally. Our endeavour is to continue with our philosophy of affordable fares, on-time operations and a courteous and hassle-free travel experience through an unparalleled network,” said Vinay Malhotra.

The Indo-US Tourism and Hospitality Summit is organized by Indian-American Chamber of CommerceThe Tourism and Hospitality Board of India aims to create a platform that recognises the efforts made by industry stakeholders to facilitate travel and tourism within India and beyond, through international operations.

The IACC was established in 1968 and is a bilateral chamber that synergizes the economic engagement between India and the United States.

The Haryana-based airline is India’s largest airline, especially for budget travel, connecting 88 domestic and 34 international destinations for Indian travelers with around 2,000 flights daily.
