International conspiracy to cripple India: AIBA calls for full-scale investigation into Hindenburg report

AIBA President Dr Adish C Aggarwala suggested that the report was prepared with malicious intent to destabilise India’s economy.

He All India Bar Council (American Bar Association (AIBA)) on Wednesday called for a thorough investigation into the possible international conspiracy surrounding the recent Hindenburg report. Speaking to the media, AIBA President and Senior Advocate Dr Adish C Aggarwala urged the Indian government to launch a thorough 360-degree investigation to uncover the truth behind the allegations.

Dr Aggarwala, former President of the Supreme Court Bar Association and Vice-President of the Bar Council of India, called for a thorough investigation into the credibility of the Hindenburg report and its possible impact on India’s economy. He suggested that the report could be part of a deliberate effort by hostile forces to destabilise India’s economic progress, especially at a time when neighbouring countries are battling economic instability and social unrest.

Dr Aggarwala said the report, which he believes was prepared with ill intentions, is aimed at undermining confidence in India’s financial system and harming the country’s economic interests. He also dismissed Hindenburg’s allegations against SEBI chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch and her husband Dhaval Buch as lacking in substance and foundation.

Highlighting the controversy sparked by Hindenburg’s earlier accusations against the Adani Dr Aggarwala questioned Hindenburg’s credibility as an entity, stressing that if the report contained concrete evidence, it should have been taken to court, pointing out that the Supreme Court had previously found Hindenburg’s claims to be unsubstantiated.

Both the Adani Group and SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch have denied the latest allegations made by Hindenburg. SEBI has also advised investors to remain calm, pointing out that Hindenburg’s report includes a warning suggesting that the company might have short positions in the securities mentioned, which could influence its conclusions.
