The pre-wedding celebrations for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant began on Wednesday, July 3. Today, July 5, the couple’s third function, their Sangeet, took place at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), a star-studded affair. While celebrities were rocking their stylish best on the red carpet, it’s the groom’s sister, Isha Ambani, who stole the show with her fashion choice.
After sporting customised Chanel and Miss Sohee at Anant and Radhika’s pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar, and then vintage Dior and Tamara Ralph in Italy, Isha isn’t dazzling like a queen in a customised Schiaparelli saree. Scroll down to see her look and read some fun facts about it.

For Isha Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s Sangeet ceremony, Isha Ambani opted for an electric blue sari with a detachable, sculpted silver blouse by Schiaparelli. While the ensemble draws inspiration from several looks showcased at Schiaparelli’s Fall 2024 collection at Paris Haute Couture Week earlier this year, it is a one-off creation by the brand under the leadership of Daniel Roseberry. This is the second time Schiaparelli has made a sari, the first being in 1935.
The diamond-embellished brooch and draping added all the luxury to this look.
Diet Sabya took to his social media and shared some interesting facts about Isha Ambani’s look. He noted: “The Isha sari is Daniel Roseberry’s first “modern” Schiap sari because the first Schiap sari was originally created in 1935 and inspired by Rani Sita Devi of Kapurthala, known as Princess Karam in the West.”
Sabya further added: “In addition to Vogue, Princess Karam’s personal style inspired Elsa Schiaparelli. The designer incorporated sari-like evening gowns, dresses with harem pants, and long lamé scarves for her 1935 collection. On being the source of inspiration for one of the decade’s leading designers, Princess Karam exclaimed: “I was thrilled to see that some of the dressmakers were inspired for their new models this year by some of the saris I wore in the summer of 1934” (“Beauty In India Ncess Karam Of Kapurthala Karam, Princess”, 1935, p. 72) (6).”

Anant and Radhika’s Wedding
The wedding ceremonies of Anant and Radhika will begin on July 12. The first ceremony of the three-day-long festivities will be the auspicious Shubh Vivah, for which the dress code is traditional Indian. July 13 is the Shubh Aashirwad, and the dress code for the same is formal Indian. The wedding festivities will conclude on July 14 with the Mangal Utsav or the wedding reception. The dress code for this event is elegant Indian style. All these functions will be held at the Jio World Centre in BKC.
