IT Jobs: Is the IT Hiring Trend Changing? Indeed Thinks So

Hiring in the tech sector has been in a state of “wait and see” for months. Even big tech has streamlined hiring, but the situation is not all bleak.

According to Indeed, there is a constant need for updates, new features, and security patches, and all of this requires skilled personnel. In the era of rapid technological advancements such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain, there is a demand for supporting new projects, improving digital infrastructure, and keeping pace with technological advancements.

According to Indeed, there will be an 8.5% increase in IT recruitment next year. The job search site says that even now, 70% of the positions it is recruiting for are software jobs. Developers are needed to create specialized code and maintain systems.

Sashi Kumar, Sales Director, Indeed India, says, “Over the past few quarters, we saw a slowdown in hiring as companies remained cautious as they navigated through global uncertainties and economic shifts. Now, the situation is changing. Companies are actively ramping up their hiring efforts. We can also expect Global Capability Centres (GCCs) to contribute significantly to this uptick in hiring, particularly in software and technology roles.”
