New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on his two-day visit to Poland On Wednesday, August 21, Modi will visit Poland for the first time in 45 years. The visit comes at a time when New Delhi and the Indian government are at war. Warsaw commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2024.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay an official visit to Poland this week on August 21-22 at the invitation of Prime Minister Donald Tusk. This is a historic visit as the Prime Minister of India is visiting Poland after 45 years. This visit comes as we mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of our diplomatic relations,” Foreign Secretary (West) Tanmaya Lal said at the special briefing on Monday.

During his visit to Poland, Prime Minister Modi will meet his Polish counterpart, the President, and also interact with the Indian community.

“There are long-standing cultural ties between India and Poland, there is respect for Indian culture and values ​​including yoga and ayurveda. In Warsaw, PM Modi will be accorded a ceremonial welcome. In addition to talks with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, PM Modi will also call on President Andrzej Duda. PM Modi will interact with the Indian community, business leaders and prominent endologists,” Lal had said.

Following his visit to Poland, the Prime Minister will travel to Ukraine at the invitation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This will be the first visit of the Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine after the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1992.
