Recently, the administration of Mount Fuji The government has introduced entry fees and limited the number of daily visitors to reduce crowding. This initiative is expected to reduce overtourism in some of the country’s most popular destinations.
Key points of the offer:
- Book an international flight with JAL and receive free domestic flights to explore more of Japan.
- Plan your trip with ease, staying at your initial destination (e.g. Tokyo) and traveling to another location within Japan without additional charges for most travelers.
- To ensure eligibility, customers must book a JAL international flight and a corresponding domestic flight on the same reservation. Separate bookings for domestic flights are not eligible.
- A stopover fee applies to travelers from the U.S., Canada, Mexico and China whose first stay in Japan exceeds 24 hours. No additional charges apply to travelers from other countries on domestic segments.
Currently, this offer is available to customers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, India, China and Taiwan. But there are plans to expand the eligible countries in the future, according to their official statement.
