Bumrah last played for India in the T20 World Cup, where he finished as Player of the Tournament with brilliant bowling figures throughout.

“In Bumrah’s case, he knows his body best and it will be up to him if he wants to play in the Tests against Bangladesh. The team management and selectors are very clear that India needs a 120 per cent fit Jasprit Bumrah for the five Tests against Australia Down Under,” a BCCI source said. PTI-English.

The Duleep Trophy begins on September 5 in Bengaluru, with Shubman Gill’s Team A taking on Abhimanyu Easwaran’s Team B.
