JNVST 2024: Registration for Navodaya Class 6 Entrance Test ends tomorrow

JNVST 2024: The online registration process for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST 2024), for admission to Class 6 in over 650 JNVs located across the country, will end tomorrow, September 16. Parents can submit forms for the entrance test on the official website of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) at navodaya.gov.in.

When applying for the exam, candidates must upload the following documents:

  1. Photo
  2. Signature of the father and the candidate
  3. Aadhar details/Residential certificate and Director verified certificate mentioning the candidate’s details in the prescribed format.

The information provided by the parents of the candidates will be verified by the principals of the schools where they studied up to the 5th grade.

Candidates can apply for a JNV in the same district in which they studied up to the fifth grade.

Only those candidates who were not born before May 1, 2013, or after July 31, 2015 (both dates included) are eligible to apply.

The selection test will be conducted in two phases. The second phase will take place on April 12, 2025, and the first phase exam will take place on January 18.

The exam will last two hours. It will start at 11:30 a.m. and end at 1:30 p.m. on both days.

There will be 80 questions worth 100 points.

The result of JNVST for Class 6 admissions is expected to be announced in March 2025 for Summer JNVs (Phase 2 of the examination) and in May 2025 for Winter JNVs (Phase 1 of the examination).

The venues for the first phase of the examination (winter areas) are: Jammu and Kashmir (except Jammu-I, Jammu-II and Samba), Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and in Dibang Valley and Tawang districts of Arunachal Pradesh, in Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmour, Kullu, Lahaul, Spiti and Shimla districts of Himachal Pradesh, in Darjeeling district of West Bengal and Leh and Kargil districts of UT Ladakh.

The summer areas where testing will be conducted are: Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh (except Dibang Valley and Tawang districts), Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh (except Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmour, Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti and Shimla districts), Jammu and Kashmir (only for Jammu-I, Jammu-II and Samba), Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tripura, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal (except Darjeeling), Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadar and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Delhi, Lakshadweep and Puducherry
