Journalist who raised questions against India appointed ambassador by Yunus regime

New Delhi: Mushfiqul Fazal Ansaray, a Bangladeshi journalist, has been appointed ambassador by the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus for a period of three years. He has reportedly been assigned the rank of senior secretary.

The ‘controversial’ journalist will be appointed ambassador to one of the Bangladesh Missions abroad, dependent on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A notification in this regard was issued this Monday by the Ministry of Public Administrations, confirming his appointment for a period of three years from the date of his incorporation.

It is learned that as per the conditions of the appointment, Ansarey must renounce any other profession, business or affiliation with government, semi-government and non-government institutions.

Ansaray rose to fame in March this year after securing the arrest of the AAP leader. Arvind Kejriwal regarding the Delhi liquor policy case (which is an internal matter of India) during a press conference with US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller.
