Kangana Ranaut has landed in controversy regarding her film ‘Emergency’. Independent MP from Faridkot, Sarabjit Singh Khalsa, has raised objections over this film. Sarabjit Singh wrote a long post on Facebook, in which he said that the film ‘Emergency’ shows the Sikh community in a wrong light, due to which problems may arise in the society.

Sarabjit Singh Khalsa wrote: ‘There are reports that Sikhs are being portrayed in the wrong way in the new film Emergency. Due to this, there is a fear that law and order will deteriorate in the society. If Sikhs are being shown as separatists and terrorists in this film, then it is a deep conspiracy. This film is a psychological attack to spread hatred against Sikhs in other countries, which the government should pay attention to and stop.
He further wrote, “News about hate attacks against Sikhs in the country often come to the fore. In such a situation, this film will also incite hatred against the Sikh community. The Sikh community has made great sacrifices for this country, which have not been fully reflected in the films. But here any attempt to defame Sikhs is casteist. To maintain communal harmony and legal order, objectionable films and songs should be banned. I always try to stop such anti-social activities by raising my voice against them to maintain peace in the society.
Who is Sarabjit Singh Khalsa?
Sarabjit Singh Khalsa is the son of Beant Singh. Beant Singh was one of the two bodyguards who shot dead the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi during Operation Blue Star on 31 October 1984.
Now comes Kangana Ranaut with her film ‘Emergency’. This will showcase the story of the Emergency period imposed in India by Indira Gandhi in 1975, Indira’s struggle and her assassination. Kangana is playing the role of Indira Gandhi. Stars like Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman and Vishak Nair have worked with him in the film. Late actor Satish Kaushik is also playing an important role in this.
