NIRF Rankings 2024: The Ministry of Education has released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024. In NIRF, once again the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are at the forefront among the top management institutes in the country. This time too seven IIMs are included in the top 10 management institutes. All these IIMs were included in the NIRF ranking for the year 2023. National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai, now known as IIM Mumbai, which was ranked seventh in last year’s ranking, is ranked sixth in the ranking for the year 2024.
IIM Ahmedabad is on top for the fifth consecutive year
IIM Ahmedabad has been ranked as the best management institute for the fifth consecutive year, while IIM Bangalore and IIM Kozhikode have bagged the second and third positions respectively. This consistent performance of IIM Ahmedabad underlines its reputation for academic excellence and strong placement track record. IIM Ahmedabad offers graduate students wishing to pursue a career in the field of management an opportunity to pursue courses like PGP, PGP-FABM, EPGD-ABA (e.g. Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Business Analytics). While IIM Bangalore provides an opportunity to pursue courses like PGP, PGPEM, PGPBA and IIM Kozhikode, PGP, PGP-BL, PGP-F, PGP-LSM, EPGP-IL, EPGP, etc.

IIT Delhi gained a position
While IIMs dominate the top ranks of the top management institutes in the country, IITs are also making significant inroads in the field of management education. Two Indian Institutes of Technology are also included in the NIRF Rank 2024 list of top 10 management institutes. IIT Delhi is ranked fourth in the 2024 ranking, up from fifth in 2023. While IIT Bombay remains at the tenth position.
