The tragic case of the rape and murder of a junior doctor at RGK Hospital in Kolkata has deeply shaken the entire nation. 1. The accused, Sanjay Roy, became a volunteer in the Disaster Management Department of the Kolkata Police in 2019.
2. Sanjay Roy lived in a government accommodation provided by the Fourth Battalion of the Calcutta Police.
3. Through his network within the Kolkata Police, Sanjay Roy managed to secure a post at the RGK Hospital.
4-Kolkata Police provided Sanjay Roy with 5 litres of free petrol per day.
5. Sanjay Roy faces multiple charges, including extortion and threatening women.
6. Using his influence, Sanjay Roy got six police officers transferred.
7. At RGK Hospital, Sanjay Roy accepted bribes in exchange for getting hospital beds for patients.
