Due to torrential rains, a landslide occurred in Netarhat valley at 8:00 am on Tuesday and huge trees fell at many places on the road, completely disrupting traffic for about 6 hours.

However, due to continuous torrential rains, there is still fear of passing through the valley as landslides can occur at any time. Here too, the water level of the Koyal river at Banari has risen and water is flowing over the bridge, disrupting traffic.

A giant tree fell on many houses and the houses were damaged

Due to continuous torrential rains in the block area, the house of Banari resident Sandeep Bhuiyan has been completely damaged due to the fall of a giant liptis tree, while the wall of the kutcha house of Rameshwar Kherwar has also collapsed. Here, Basant, a resident of Bishunpur. Rehe Toli, Mohan Lohar Praveen Giri, a resident of Sahu Bhanjan Sahu Serka Chatti, and the mud house of Anjalina Ekka, a resident of Hakkajagan, have collapsed. If we talk about the entire block area, there are reports of more than a dozen kutcha houses collapsing.

Farmers affected by urad and vegetable cultivation are worried.

Agricultural scientist Neeraj Kumar Vaish said the weather is likely to improve on Wednesday as the rains for the past four consecutive days are affecting the urad and vegetable crop. Meanwhile, farmer Digambar Munda said the crops of parwal, tomato, bhindi and brinjal being grown in the fields have started deteriorating due to waterlogging in the fields due to continuous rains.

Power outage in the block area for the last 24 hours

Due to torrential rains and strong winds in the block area for the past 24 hours, people are hiding in their houses. There is silence on the streets. At the same time, the power supply has also come to a complete standstill, disrupting normal life. Even electrical equipment cannot be operated. Neither of us can charge our mobile phones. There is no Jio network, so people are also cut off from contact with each other.
