Latest Order and Notification on Salary Increase of Government Employees: An order has been issued to increase the salary of senior officials of the Chhattisgarh Medical Education Department.
In fact, under the direction of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and the instructions of Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, the Health Department has taken a big decision. Pursuant to this decision, an order has been issued for a historic hike in the salaries of Senior Residents and Protestors (PG), Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and Lecturers of government medical colleges. This order will come into effect for government medical colleges across the state from September 1, 2024.
Government Employees Salary Hike Latest Order and Notification: As per the order issued by the Medical Education Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, the salary of teachers posted in non-scheduled area medical colleges has been increased from Rs 1 lakh 55 thousand to Rs 1 lakh 90 thousand. Similarly, the salary of Associate Professor has been increased from Rs 1 lakh 35 thousand to Rs 1 lakh 55 thousand, salary of Assistant Professor has been increased from Rs 90 thousand to Rs 1 lakh and salary of Senior Resident and Demonstrator (PG) has been increased from Rs 65,000 to Rs 75,000.
As per the order issued, the salary of teachers posted in scheduled area medical colleges has been increased from Rs 1 lakh 90 thousand to Rs 2 lakh 25 thousand. Similarly, the salary of associate professor has been increased from Rs 1 lakh 55 thousand to Rs 1 lakh 85 thousand, salary of assistant professor has been increased from Rs 90 thousand to Rs 1 lakh 25 thousand and salary of senior resident and demonstrator (PG) has been increased from Rs 65,000 to Rs 95,000.
Latest Order and Notification on Salary Increase of Government Employees: As per the revised pay scale released for contract doctors of Government Medical Colleges, the salary has been increased by about 46 percent in scheduled area and about 23 percent in non-scheduled area.
Notably, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal described this decision as a major step towards improving the quality of health services in the state. He said that this decision of salary hike was taken in recognition of the state government’s commitment towards health and ensuring high quality education in government medical colleges. The salary of contract doctors in scheduled areas has been increased by up to 46% while in non-scheduled areas this increase is around 23%.
