Leezu’s raises funds to revolutionize the sexual wellness market in India

Leezu’s, a brand of intimacy and pleasure products, has raised an undisclosed amount in a pre-seed funds round from investors.

While the exact amount has not yet been disclosed, the startup plans to use the capital raised to expand its innovative product line and enter new markets.

Leezu’s offers

Founded in 2023 by Leeza Mangaldas, Leezu’s aims to create a positive culture of pleasure in India through its range of sexual wellness products.

The brand combines sex educator Leeza Mangaldas’ expertise in pleasure and education products with Bozzil CEO Hanna Strömgren Khan’s experience in branding.

Their goal is to remove the stigma surrounding sexuality and pleasure by offering locally relevant sexual wellness products and educational resources.

“My vision is for sex toys and lubricants to be as widely available, as affordable, and as destigmatized as any other everyday wellness item, like toothbrushes or facial cleansers. I want sexual wellness and pleasure to be more equal, inclusive, and accessible to everyone. My hope is that conversations about pleasure become something people are eager and happy to engage in, without shame,” Mangaldas said.

Market presence

Leezu claims that within the first year of operations, it has witnessed a 5-fold growth, driven by the popularity of its best-selling products including the Pyaari massager, Toofan stroker and Love Jelly personal lubricant.

“My goal is for Leezu’s to be at the forefront of a pleasure revolution. Since the inception of my digital platforms seven years ago, my overall vision has been to create a world where all sexual experiences are consensual, safe and pleasurable,” Mangaldas added.

Improve distribution channels

With this funding, the startup now aims to accelerate product development, expand its catalog and optimize distribution channels for further growth.
