China meets automakers to discuss import tariffs on large cars ahead of EU tariff vote

China’s Commerce Ministry met with automakers and industry associations on Friday to discuss raising import tariffs on large-engine gasoline vehicles, delivering a warning as the European Union nears a decision on tariffs on Chinese electric cars. Indian Army rescues over 330 civilians from flood-hit areas of Tripura

During its extensive Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations under the codename Op ‘JAL RAHAT’ in Tripura, the Indian Army rescued over 330 civilians. Two columns of the 18 Assam Rifles, operating under the command of 21 Sector Headquarters Assam Rifles and IGAR (East), have been deployed in the flood-affected areas of Amarpur, Bhampur, Bishalgarh and Ramnagar in the state. Medical assistance has been provided to seven civilians, addressing urgent health issues amid difficult conditions, says the Indian Army.
