From the first day we met in the workshop until the final shooting of the film. It was a very collaborative effort. We both cared about how the movie turned out. Our scenes had a lot of give and take. We were both working to improve the scene and the movie. I must give credit to our director, Vandana Kataria, because she is so passionate about cinema in general that her energy tripled and set the tone for the film. “Everyone on the cast and crew worked hard to make his vision a reality.”

Rajeev Siddhartha on his journey as an actor

When asked how he sees his journey as an actor from Dil, Dosti, Etc to Love, Sitara, Rajeev notes, “Dil Dosti, Etc happened when I was in my first year of college. I had no intention of becoming an actor. Back then , the film was being shot in Delhi University and they shot it in our college. They asked us who wanted to act in this film. We all raised our hands because we were curious and excited about the role, but I never had the interest. dream or ambition to become a professional actor, but our director Manish was impressed and said, “You have a great screen presence and you should try to pursue acting.” So he was encouraging me.

He further said, “Only after working as a wealth advisor did I realize that I should do it and I had the courage to do it. I started doing theatre; I still do it. I started with Lillete Dubey. My first play with her was Aadhe Adhure. It was a classic written by Mohan Rakesh. We toured the country and traveled abroad with him, and that stage helped me have a great foundation as an actor, I have evolved and it tickles me and it trickles down too. in my acting. As an actor, if you dedicate yourself to your craft, then magic happens over time.

Rajeev Siddhartha reflects on playing versatile roles

Aashram explored a dark reality on a very sensitive topic. When asked about his transition while working on Love, Sitara, as the film has an intense take on human relationships, Rajeev says, “Aashram was a dream project for me. I got to work with Prakash Jha Sir, a living legend I have always remembered working with such an important group of actors fondly, as it was a very enriching experience. My journey as an artist has many roles to play in broadening my perspective on acting. For me, I am very grateful to the audience. who loved and appreciated it. Every time I go somewhere, people ask me about the new season. He has received a lot of love and affection through that project and brave, but I play the role of a journalist who fights for good. “He’s a more morally stable character on the show. The character had so much integrity to stand up for what was right even though everything around him was falling apart.”

She further says, “In Love, Sitara, my character, is also solid. So, there is a similarity between the parties. One is a journalist from a small town, while the other is a high-end chef from a big city. But even in Love, Sitara, there are a lot of complexities because the family dynamics are such that everyone betrays someone in some way. It was beautiful to play a chef while training at Farzi Café for a month and a half. I was also the substitute head chef for a long time. That helped me understand the character’s body language well. If I hadn’t trained enough as a chef, I wouldn’t be able to do those scenes. I appreciate everyone in the restaurant or hotel business because life is hard. “I can’t choose which of the characters I like more because you love the people you play and you have a responsibility towards them.”

Rajeev Siddhartha talks about working as a honeymoon photographer

When asked what unique aspect of the story and concept of Honeymoon Photographer attracted him to the script, Rajeev notes, “I never wanted to be typecast. I’ve been lucky enough to not have a script where I could play a character similar to above. I got the script of Honeymoon Photographer because it differs from all the other parts I have done. Here is a man who lacks basic empathy and is selfish, dangerous and psychopathic in that way exploring my range as an actor. , is also the editor, so I knew that since it’s a crime novel, the editing had to be very sharp. So he did a fantastic job.”

He further adds, “As an artist, you want to be a part of as many different stories as possible. This was a different concept because someone had taken the couple on their honeymoon to photograph them while they were on vacation. As I read the script until the last episode, I couldn’t tell who had done it. So if reading it is so intriguing, once it’s done with all the other aspects like editing and sound design, it will make it even more interesting. The audience loves it because there is a twist after each episode and it is a series worth enjoying.”
