Lucknow: Six people died when a three-story building collapsed in Uttar PradeshThe incident occurred in Lucknow on Saturday. Nagar Transport The fire occurred while construction work was being carried out in the basement of the building.
NDRF and SDRF teams swung into action to rescue the people and hospitals were put on alert. More than 25 people have been rescued so far. More people are feared to be trapped.
The incident occurred at around 5 p.m. A truck parked near the building was also crushed by the collapse.
“Rescue teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have been deployed at the spot and are working to rescue the trapped people,” said Relief Commissioner GS Naveen Kumar.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the situation. The Chief Minister directed the district administration officials and SDRF and NDRF teams to reach the spot and expedite relief work and immediately take the injured to the hospital for proper treatment. He also wished the injured a speedy recovery, the UP CMO said.
