Cloud Burst in Kedarnath: Due to cloud burst near Kedarnath Dham, severe flooding has occurred in the Mandakini River. There is an atmosphere of chaos among the devotees from Kedar Dham to Gaurikund. Heavy rains have created flood-like situations in some parts of Dehradun. Due to heavy rains in Dehradun, all schools and Anganwadi centres from classes 1 to 12 will remain closed on August 1.

Hotel and bridge destroyed by cloud explosion

Uttarakhand District Disaster Management Officer Tehri said that due to cloudburst at Nautar Gadera near Jakhanyali, an open hotel near Gadera was swept away and the culvert connecting Ghansali-Chirbitiya road at Muyalgaon was washed away. Bhanu Prasad, Neelam Devi and Vipin are missing in Saroli Tok of Jakhanyali. Two bodies have been recovered.

Meteorological Department issued alert

The Uttarakhand Emergency Operation Centre has issued a weather warning alert. Everyone has been asked to remain alert. There is also a possibility of waterlogging in the plains and landslides in the hilly areas.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke to the Secretary, Disaster Management, over the phone regarding the heavy rainfall in various parts of the state and was briefed about the areas affected by the heavy rainfall and the relief and rescue operations. CM Dhami said that there is a possibility of waterlogging due to heavy rainfall in the state. Therefore, in such a situation, for a quick solution of any kind of disaster, the various training centres operating in the state and the buildings in whose basements various kinds of humanitarian activities are being carried out should be promptly investigated and remedial measures should be taken on a priority basis. This should be done to avoid any kind of loss of life and property.

House collapses in Roorkee village due to heavy rains; three dead

In a village in Roorkee area of ​​Haridwar district, a house collapsed due to heavy rains and three people were killed and over half a dozen injured after being buried under the debris. Police said that in this incident which took place in Bharpur village in Bahadarabad, a total of 12 people were buried under the debris and the local people are also involved with the police to try to remove the debris. Over half a dozen people injured in the incident have been admitted to the hospital.
