IMD Rain Alert: The monsoon has become active again in Rajasthan, due to which a heavy rainfall alert has been issued in many districts of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, a depression system has developed due to the intensification of the low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal, situated near Andhra Pradesh and southern Orissa. Due to the effect of this system, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in many parts of the state from September 3. A yellow alert has been issued for Kota and Udaipur divisions for the next two days, indicating possible heavy rainfall in the area.
24 Hour Rainfall Status (Rainfall Update for Rajasthan)
The Meteorological Department has informed that in the last 24 hours, rainfall has been recorded at some places in western Rajasthan and many places in eastern Rajasthan. Nawa, Nagaur in western Rajasthan recorded 72.0 mm of rainfall, while Jaipur in eastern Rajasthan recorded the highest rainfall of 120.4 mm. Heavy rainfall has also occurred in Alwar, Sikar, Ajmer and Nagaur districts, while incidents of extremely heavy rainfall have been recorded in some parts of Jaipur district.

269 Rajasthan dams filled to the brim in 2 months (Rajasthan Weather Update)
This monsoon, 8 per cent more water reached Rajasthan than last year, due to which many dams in the state were filled with water. According to the State Water Resources Department, in the last 60 days, 269 dams in the state have been filled completely and the flow of water continues in 300 dams. Currently, the total filling capacity of 691 small and large dams in the state is 12.9 billion cubic metres, of which 73.14 per cent has been filled. The Bisalpur Dam, which supplies drinking water to Jaipur, Ajmer and Tonk districts, is also receiving a continuous flow of water, due to which engineers from the Water Resources Department are hoping that this dam will also be filled to the brim soon.

Rajasthan Safety Alert and Instructions (Rajasthan Heavy Rains)
Due to heavy rainfall at various parts of the state, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert and advised the citizens to remain alert. The state government and the concerned departments have also strengthened preparations to ensure prompt action. The local administration has been instructed to be prepared to deal with possible flood situations, and citizens have also been appealed to not step out unnecessarily and follow administrative instructions. This monsoon situation in Rajasthan will not only improve water resources in the coming days but will also prove beneficial for agriculture and drinking water supply.
