Major steps taken in SI recruitment exam paper leak case, former RPSC member arrested

Rajasthan News: The Special Action Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police has taken major action in the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment exam paper leak case. Ramuram Raika, a former member of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the case. A senior official said that SOG on Sunday arrested Raika’s son and daughter along with three other SI trainees for their alleged involvement in the paper leak case.

Additional Director General (SOG) VK Singh said that Raika, a former RPSC member, was arrested on Sunday evening on charges of providing her sons with a sub-inspector (SI) recruitment exam. Raika will be produced before the court on Monday. Ahead of the sub-inspector (SI) recruitment exam paper leak Five trainee sub-inspectors, including two women, were arrested on Sunday for their alleged involvement in the case. The five accused were produced before the court, from where they were remanded in police custody till September 7.

According to the official SOG statement, the arrested trainees include Ramuram Raika’s daughter Shobha Raika and son Devesh Raika. According to the statement, the other three SI trainees arrested include Manju Devi, Avinash Palsania and Vijendra Kumar. These five trainees were detained from the Rajasthan Police Academy (RPA) on Saturday and taken to the SOG office for questioning.

So far, three separate chargesheets have been filed against 61 accused in the Sub Inspector Recruitment Examination-2021 paper leak case. These 61 accused include 33 trainee sub inspectors, four successful candidates who did not join the post and 24 persons associated with the paper leak gang. According to the statement, the hunt for 65 other accused is still on.
