CEO of Zomato Deepinder goyal on Sunday said that shopping centers must be “more humane” towards delivery partnerssharing his first-hand experience as a delivery executive picking orders for the food technology giant.

Sharing his experience in a social media post, Goyal said, “During my second order, I realized that we need to work more closely with malls to improve working conditions for all delivery partners. And malls too They should be more humane with delivery partners. What do you think?” Zomato’s CEO tagged a video with the post explaining the experience.

“We arrived Environmental shopping center in Gurugram to pick up the order from Haldiram’s. They told me to take the other entrance and realized they were asking me to go up the stairs. “I went back in through the main entrance to make sure there were no elevators for the delivery partners.”

Goyal further said that he climbed the stairs to the third floor and realized that the delivery partners cannot enter the mall and have to wait on the stairs to receive the orders.

“I relaxed with my delivery colleagues and at the same time received valuable feedback from them,” said the Zomato CEO, adding that he was finally able to sneak in to pick up the order when the stairwell guard “took a little break.”
