An FIR was registered at Chhata Chowk Excise Station on Wednesday in connection with the recovery of liquor. In this, Mantu Thakur, a resident of Maniyari Madhuban, Gopal Sahni of Maniyari Bedaul Naya Tola, Vikram Kumar of Mushari Bedaulia and Tinku Chauhan of Atardah of Sadar police station have been named. Apart from this, the owner of the Scorpio tanker number, cargo van and car seized in West Bengal has been charged. The police are conducting raids to arrest the liquor traders. Deputy Commissioner of Excise Vijay Shekhar Dubey said that liquor is being unloaded from the tanker at Gachhi located in Raghunathpur Madhuban village under Mushari police station area. A special team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Shivendra Kumar and ASI Amarjeet Kumar and the raid was carried out. As soon as the production team arrived, the liquor trader fled from the spot after seeing the light of the vehicle. A West Bengal oil tanker, a Scorpio, a cargo van and a car were seized from the spot. Inspector Shivendra Kumar said four businessmen Mantu Thakur, Gopal Sahni, Vikram Kumar and Tinku Chauhan have been named as accused. This consignment of liquor was brought from Andhra Pradesh.
