Her coach Jaspal Rana gave this information. Jaspal told PTI, ‘I don’t know whether she will play in the World Cup to be held in October or not because she is taking a three-month break.’

He said, ‘She has been working hard for a long time so this is a normal break.’ The Shooting World Cup will be held in Delhi from 13 to 18 October. Jaspal said that after the break, they will work on the 2026 Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. Manu Bhaker and PR Sreejesh were the flag bearers of the Indian contingent at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics.

Manu Bhaker missed out on a hat-trick of medals in the Paris Olympics. Manu finished fourth in the 25m pistol event. Then in the shoot-off, Manu was defeated by Hungary’s Veronica Major. Manu Bhaker was jointly third with Hungary’s Veronica Major with 28 points after the first eight series in the final of 10 series of five shots each. After this, Manu could hit only three out of five shots in the shoot-off, while Major won the bronze medal with four accurate shots.

At the Paris Olympics, Manu Bhaker competed in the women’s 10m air pistol, 10m air pistol mixed team and women’s 25m pistol events. She was the only athlete from the 21-member Indian shooting team to participate in multiple individual events.
