This collaboration will allow users to book Zoomcar’s autonomous cars directly through the Mappls app, offering a seamless and convenient solution for transportation needs.
Rohan Verma, CEO and MD of MapmyIndia, highlighted the user-friendly approach of the Mappls app, which already offers navigation and travel guidance.
He explained: “The Mappls app helps millions of users navigate from point A to B safely and efficiently. Many of our users expressed the need for transportation options and we saw an opportunity to integrate them. by Zoomcar “Car rental without driver directly in the app.”
The integration will allow Mappls app users to select from around 25,000 Zoomcar vehicles available in over 99 cities. According to Verma, the app offers a simple, efficient and smart solution for booking a car, catering to various travel needs such as short city trips, long road trips, airport transfers and more.
While this initiative marks a significant step in Map of India Verma stressed that the expansion into consumer services is not directly linked to its core B2B or B2B2C operations. He said, “We are deepening our reach in the consumer market by offering more features and capabilities that can also drive monetization.”
Verma also provided an update on MapmyIndia Partnership with Hyundai and Kiaand noted that its new navigation platform is being rolled out to new car models, including the Alcazarand will be extended to all Hyundai and Kia vehicles in circulation.
The company has a market capitalization of ₹11,360 crore. Its shares have risen 27% in the past year.
