Star shooter Avani Lekhara will be back in action on Day 4 as she looks to chase her second medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Preethi Pal won a historic bronze in the 100m, India’s first track medal at the Paralympics, and will be contesting the women’s 200m T35 final on Sunday, September 1.
Following her gold medal in the women’s 10m air rifle individual standing event on Friday, Avani will partner Sidhartha Babu in the mixed R3 classification of 10m air rifle prone and will also contest the final on Sunday if the duo qualifies.
Athletes Nishad Kumar and Ram Pal will also be competing in the men’s T47 high jump final with dual hopes of securing medals in the closing stages on Sunday.
