Rasika Dugal, who plays Beena Tripathi in Mirzapur, shares how she used to read scripts that always had scenes where her character shed tears.

During the interview, the actor shared, “There was a point where I could read the script backwards and know that in the last ten pages, there would definitely be at least two crying scenes for me. [changed]“A little bit of that femme fatale thing has happened and I’m happy about it.”

The actress also spoke about the rise of streaming shows and how they have given her a wider reach. “Clearly, streaming services gave me an opportunity because there were a lot of films that I had done that had not had the kind of release they deserved. That’s when I felt that streaming services were a space for smaller films to find an audience,” she added.
