Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has come up with a special scheme for parents of daughters. The name of this scheme is ‘Chief Minister’s Guardian Girl Child Pension Scheme’. Under this scheme, parents who have only daughters and are married will be given a pension of Rs 600 per month. The aim of the government is that after marriage, parents who live alone can get financial help and do not have to depend on anyone.
The Madhya Pradesh government is running many schemes to empower daughters and improve their lives. These schemes are discussed from time to time and are also appreciated at the national level. Apart from this, the government also runs many public welfare schemes which are directly related to the common man. For this purpose, CM Kanya Guardian Pension Scheme is in operation. This scheme can become a support for the parents who are struggling with the financial crisis. The main objective of this scheme is to provide social security to those parents who have only daughters.

Know the terms and conditions

There are some terms and conditions to avail the benefits of this scheme. The applicant couple should be natives of Madhya Pradesh. One of the members of the couple should be at least 60 years of age. The couple should have only one daughter when she is a child. The couple should not be an income tax payer.

After this, all the documents given below will have to be submitted to the Municipality office. Then the pension will be approved after checking the eligibility. You can also avail the benefits of this scheme by applying for Public Service Guarantee. You can apply for this scheme through online and offline mode. You can fill the application form in the prescribed format along with the documents required for the scheme and submit it to the office of the Designated Officer, Gram Panchayat or Public Service Centre.

  • Widows and abandoned women must present a death certificate of their husband issued by the competent authority.
  • Abandoned women must present a certified copy of the order issued by the court.

Documents will be examined

You can also apply online on the pension portal. When you apply offline, the office will mandatorily give you an acknowledgement of receipt. Both online and offline applications will be examined. The District Panchayat/Gram Panchayat/Urban Body/District Office will check the documents provided by you. If the documents are not correct, your application will be cancelled and you will be informed in writing.

The pension will be accounted for directly

If your documents are correct, your pension case will be approved. After this, your name will be added to the pension proposal and the pension amount will arrive directly to your bank account every month.
