Mumbai billionaire rides Rs 18 lakh bike with expired insurance, netizens mock him

Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath was spotted riding a bike with his rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty in Mumbai. However, keen-eyed internet users discovered that the billionaire was riding a bike with expired insurance.

In the viral video, Nikhil Kamath is seen riding a Suzuki Intruder VZR 1800 ZL2 motorcycle in Bandra. Dressed in a jacket and shorts, wearing a helmet and face mask, he is seen chatting with Rhea Chakraborty, who was riding pillion.

Social media users noticed the motorcycle’s license plate number and began investigating.

User X found out that the bike’s insurance had expired last year. User X advised Kamath to renew his insurance. Another user questioned the absence of a helmet and commented, “HELMET?”

The information provided by the CarInfo app also reveals that Kamath registered the motorcycle in April 2012 in Bengaluru. Its insurance expired in July 2023.

The VZR 1800 ZL2 Intruder is a powerful motorcycle that belongs to the Intruder series from Suzuki, which is famous for its cruiser bikes. Also known as Suzuki Intruder M1800R in some markets, this discontinued model costs between ₹15.95 lakh and ₹16.45 lakh in India, and the on-road price is around ₹18 lakh.
