Liquor, Prohibition and Excise Department inspector Shivendra Kumar told reporters, “Based on secret information, officials raided the premises of a government building at Phanda village in Paru area of Muzaffarpur last night and recovered 135 bottles of foreign liquor. The cartoons were kept in sacks and kept in a corner of the premises. All 135 cartoons have been seized.

A law banning the manufacture, sale or consumption of liquor was implemented in Bihar in April 2016.
